Moses Path

About

The Path of Moses, in Barra Grande, is one of Maragogi’s most stunning natural wonders. During low tide, a long sandbar emerges from the sea, creating the illusion of walking on water — hence its biblical name. When the tide is below 0.20 m, the path becomes wide, easy to walk, and beautifully exposed, surrounded by shallow, turquoise water. The lower the tide, the longer and more spectacular the sand path becomes — a perfect setting for photos and drone shots. Visitors will find floating bars serving snacks and tropical drinks, local vendors offering coconut water and fruits, and even the possibility to rent boat or jet ski rides along the coast. During higher tides, many tourists enjoy boat tours along the coastline, which make a stop near the Path of Moses to admire the scenery and have a refreshing drink in the sea. The main access is on foot, departing from Barra Grande Beach during low tide. It’s a unique experience that blends natural beauty, local flavor, and the magic of the Maragogi coast.
